How does the treatment work?
Relaxation Treatment is a gentle and soothing treatment that encompasses techniques such as relaxation, mindfulness, body awareness training, and mindfulness. The manual treatment component is characterized by the therapist using calm and gentle movements to perform various treatment techniques that may resemble massage. However, the client remains fully clothed throughout the entire session.
One of the core elements of Relaxation Treatment is relaxation. Relaxation should not be understood as “letting go,” as it is not simply a matter of “just relaxing,” but rather involves processes where parts or the entire body are relaxed, in contrast to tension. Work with breathing is central, just as the therapist uses conversation to create a safe space through acknowledgment and openness.
