Acture, a leading Dutch company in the field of well-being and absence management, is taking a major step forward in its European expansion with the acquisition of the Danish company Health Group A/S. The acquisition marks an important milestone in Acture’s growth strategy in Europe, strengthens the company’s presence across the continent, and provides a solid foundation for further expansion in Scandinavia.
Maudie Derks, Group CEO of Acture, points out:
“We view Health Group as a very strong and forward-thinking company, and their proven track record in the Danish market makes them an ideal partner for our European ambitions. By combining Acture’s extensive expertise in Employee Welfare Management with Health Group’s proven capabilities, we believe we can create meaningful long-term value for both clients and employees.”
Acture employs approximately 600 people and is a major player in workers’ compensation insurance and digital health solutions. In recent years, the company has invested heavily in acquisitions—including four German companies in the digital health sector. With the acquisition of Health Group, Acture is taking the next step in its European expansion.
For Health Group, the acquisition means new growth opportunities and access to a wider range of health and insurance solutions, which will benefit both customers and employees.

Tim Herbst, founder and current chairman of the board at Health Group A/S, explains:
“When I founded Health Group back in 2000, I could hardly have imagined the journey that has brought us here 25 years later. Together with my wife, Irene Herbst, I have had the privilege of running and developing the company, and that naturally makes it a little bittersweet to say goodbye.”
“At the same time, we are both very excited about this new chapter. Acture has clear ambitions for European expansion and has recognized the potential we have built up in the Health Group—through our customers, our growth, our solutions, and, not least, our employees and the results that CEO Adam Rosenkilde has achieved.”
Adam Rosenkilde, CEO, on the acquisition:
Health Group will continue its day-to-day operations as usual, thereby ensuring continuity for customers, partners, and employees. At the same time, the integration with Acture opens the door to a broader range of services and solutions, enabling Health Group to complement its existing offerings with Acture’s strong expertise in insurance and digital health.
“For me personally—and for the entire Health Group team—the acquisition by Acture means a great deal and gives us the opportunity to build on the best year in Health Group’s history. We clearly share Acture’s vision and values, and I am convinced that this partnership will create strong synergies.
"For our customers, this means access to a wider range of solutions and consistently high quality, and for our employees, it offers new opportunities to grow as part of an ambitious international group."
Acture partners with employers to provide solutions in the areas of employee well-being, absence management, and insurance. The company combines data-driven insights, proven methodologies, and practical expertise into a single, comprehensive approach: its Employee Welfare Program (EWP).
Acture is a leading player in the Dutch and German markets, but the program is always tailored to the local context. The basic principle is universal: Acture helps organizations engage their employees and build a healthy and resilient workforce.
