Information about health checkups

Purpose

Undergoing a health checkup is a proactive step toward taking charge of your health, gaining relevant insights into key health indicators, and making informed decisions to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life.

Contents

  1. A digital health screening that covers five key areas related to your overall health.
  2. A series of physical measurements
  3. A consultation focused on providing information and preventing health problems. The health counselor will help you interpret the results, guide you toward your goals, and answer questions about your physical and mental health.

1. Health Screening

The purpose of the health screening is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of your overall health, including working conditions, physical health, mental well-being, illness, pain, and lifestyle factors. Our goal is to provide a thorough evaluation that takes all aspects of your health and well-being into account.

2. The physical tests

  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Body fat percentage
  • Waist measurement
  • Blood pressure
  • Total cholesterol
  • HDL cholesterol
  • LDL cholesterol
  • Triglycerides
  • HbA1c (long-term blood sugar)
  • Cardiofit (Seismofit, measurement of VO₂max without physical activity)
  • Spirometry (for smokers)
  • Body age

3. Individual interview

Immediately after the measurements, you will have a one-on-one consultation with the health consultant. Together with the consultant, you will have the opportunity to set a personal goal based on the results of the health screening and physical measurements, while taking your wishes and needs into account. In addition, a health score will be generated that takes your age and gender into account and provides a comprehensive assessment of your health status. All your results will be easily accessible through DigiHealth, where you can access information about relevant programs at your workplace, details about your results, and general health information.

Blood tests

To measure blood parameters, a capillary sample is taken from the finger, and the results are available immediately.

Consultants

Health Group’s consultants specialize in conducting health screenings. They hold at least a bachelor’s degree in fields such as physical therapy, nursing, nutrition, and health.

Follow-up appointment with your primary care physician

If the readings are too high or too low compared to official guidelines, employees are referred to their own doctor for a follow-up examination. Your own doctor will perform any additional tests or measurements and, if necessary, manage any subsequent treatment. According to statistics from the Danish Heart Association, it is expected that approximately 15–20% of employees will be referred to a doctor due to high blood pressure, cholesterol levels, and blood sugar. Some employees may find that the doctor measures lower values than those recorded during the health check. This is completely normal and may be due to various factors related to the health check itself, such as stress, diet, sleep, fasting, etc. However, differences in equipment may also play a role.

Equipment

All of the equipment used for these measurements is clinically tested and approved medical testing equipment, and is the most accurate available on the market. The results are therefore highly reliable.

Confidentiality

The security and confidentiality of all data are of the utmost importance to us. Health Group ensures that all information is stored securely and treated with the strictest confidentiality. You can rest assured that no data will be shared with your employer or any third party. Your personal information remains completely confidential.

Precautions

There are several factors to consider to ensure that the physical measurements are as accurate as possible:

  • You should not be more physically active than usual the day before your health checkup.
  • Avoid drinking alcohol the day before your health checkup.
  • Make sure you're well-rested.
  • Make sure to drink at least ½ to 1 liter of water throughout the day.
  • Please avoid drinking coffee, cola, and alcohol on the day of your health checkup.
  • You should not smoke before your physical exam.
  • Please arrive 5 minutes before the test. Try not to be out of breath. Sit in the designated chair and relax completely!

Please note: All tests are voluntary, meaning you have the option to opt out of any tests you do not wish to take.

We look forward to seeing you!

Sincerely,
Health Group A/S
